Salah is an obligation on every Muslim, we should not pray mechanically instead pray with khushu. Understand what we are reading during salah, each actions and words. 		Learn the translation of surah Fatiha to obtain khushu and gain the connection needed while performing salah.

Quran Level 1 We looked at words from the quran to decode. E.g INNA, we looked at which letters make up this word. We recapped surahs with tajweed and tajweed rule Qalqalah and Noon and Meem Mushadadah. Underline Qalaqalah letters in surah ikhlas and Surah falaq. The children will be tested in class.
Islamic year 8 We looked at the miraculous night journey of Isra al Miraj. The gift of salah given to us. We also started looking at " why is our religion the one". We looked at the preservation of the Quran and its authentication.

Arabic Level 5 We learnt how to look up the meaning of a word in the Arabic dictionary ( معجم).
We also learnt about the past tense الفعل الماضي. 		Revise all what we studied before to get ready for the quiz.
Arabic Level 3 We worked on greeting each other in arabic and looked at names of body parts in arabic. These were written in our books.
We used the arabic platform to listen to a story in arabic. 		Each child was given a word learnt about body parts in arabic to present on a piece of A4 card, ready for a presentation.
Arabic Level 1 We learned the name of the letters up to letter د and wrote in our exercise book.
We also made the shape of the letters using play doh.

Quran Level 6 We learnt about Idgham and its different types.
 Extract 12 different examples of Idgham from Juz Amma. 6 for the noon sakinah with the different idgham letters and 6 for tanween with the different idgham letters.
Quran Level 5 We started Studying Surah AL Buruj pages 142 until 144 Asked children to 5 questions on page 149
Quran Level 2 We practiced Surah Al Asr, Surah Al-Ma'un and Surah Al-Humazah. Please memorize ,Surah Al Asr and Surah Al-Humazah.
Quran Level 1 We reviewed surah fatiha and naas with tajweed, looked at 2 letter words and broke them down to better understand how the letters make a word. We also looked at noon and meem mushaddadah rule. Please review surah fatiha, naas, ikhlas, falaq, kauthar, asr and masad.
Also find 2 letter words in these surahs and decode them following the method used in class.
Islamic year 8 We summarised previous lesson as posters and presented them to the rest of the school after salah. Look at the core principles of what a Muslim is.
If someone asked you what makes you a Muslim, how would you answer?.
Islamic year 6 We spoke about character of the prophet (Gentle, patient and loving the young and old). We spoke also about obedience to Allah and his messenger. Answering questions in the workbook pages 32 to 38.
Islamic year 5 We finished Studying Prophet Ayyub pages 64 until 67 Asked children to home work pages 51 to 53
Islamic year 4 Learnt about Prophet 1 on pg 63. Do the extended advanced questions on page 68 of Prophet 1. Look into your own life and how it compares in your actions and behaviours.

Arabic Level 5 We learnt how to say some verbs with أنا، هو وهي in the present tense and in the future. How to write the following verbs with أنا، هو و هي in the present and in the future.
Arabic Level 3 We reviewed our harakahs, and started making a table with beginning middle and end letters within words with the meaning.
We also started simple conversation in arabic by giving salam and asking how are you?. Each student had a turn. 		Fill in the blank areas of the table we started and find more examples if possible.
Arabic Level 1 We practice learning the name of the letters. Individual homework provided in exercise books.
Quran Level 7 We practice reading surah Al buruj and apply "qalqalah".
We watch a video explaining how to produce the qalqalah and the mistakes to avoid.

- second for the surah you did not hesitate to recite, review once a week

Quran Level 5 We started. Surat Al Buruj page 142 from Aya 1 until Aya 12 Asked children to do more practice on Reading Surat AL Buruj and answer questions no 1,2,3 on page 149
Quran Level 1 We looked at surahs, fatiha, ikhlas, naas, falaq, nasr.
We also revised qalqalah letters and practiced with surah ikhlas. We looked at tashdeed, been and noon mushaddadah and the nasal sound.

Islamic year 8 Had a group discussion on " why does Allah test us if Allah knows the outcome ".
We looked at our purpose of being here, how our tests help change us and why we are tested.
Everyone mentioned a test they are facing or have faced and how they overcame it.
We also discussed how we should react when faced with a difficulty.
 To write down 3 ways of getting closer to Allah when faced with a calamity.
Islamic year 7 Continuation from last week on the life of prophet Muhammad saw. We discussed the main event that happened the year he was born, his childhood, the migration , the conquest and his kindness towards all. Children were split in two groups, partake in a friendly debate - Some people see prophet MUhammad as a man of war! How will they overcome this! I would like children write about - How is the prophet Muhammad a role model for Muslims and non Muslims?
Islamic year 6 We learnt the second part of Tashahud (Assalatul-Ibrahimiyah).
We also learnt some characters of the prophet like, truthfulness, kindness, forgiveness, generosity and mercy.

Islamic year 8 we reviewed the lesson on the spiritual heart and looked at the story of the cave, compared the challenges the youth faced then and now. We had a discussion on the difficulties of being a modern Muslim and how having strong Iman is key to dealing with these challenges. learn the dua for the heart and complete the challenge given.

Quran Level 5 This class was merged with class 5.

The students wrote in their new tracing book and traced on Sura Al-Fatiha. We also read through Sura Al-Balad from the Green Juz Amma book. 		1. Those who have memorised the first 10 ayahs are to memorise the last 10 ayahs
2. Those that have memorised all 20 ayahs are to summarise the sura in 6 sentences in English.
3. All students should write the Sura in Arabic in their exercise books. (This is extra homework decided by the teacher after the class)

We studied the role of Tagjweed Al-Qalqalah.

Quran Level 2 We practiced Surah Al-Humazah and Surah Al-Ma'un.

Quran Level 1 Recited surah fatiha with correct pronounciation and revised letters with correct makharij. Complete page 7 of surahs made easy book and practice reciting surah Fatiha from memory.
Islamic year 8 We looked at the meaning of qalb (spiritual heart). We also looked at the 3 types of conditions of the heart and reflected on our hearts. Qalb challenge given and memorise dua for the heart.
Islamic year 6 We did revision on past knowledge

Quran Level 6 We revised Surah Al-Tariq, Al-Buruj and Al-Inshiqaq. Practice pronouncing the letters ث، ذ، ظ and ر
Quran Level 1 We practised the pronounciation of Arabic letter Alif to Daud.

We also recited Surah Al Fatiha together with the correct pronounciation 		To practice at home focusing on the letter Haa and Saud.
Islamic year 8 Introduction and class rules made by the students. We also introduced ourselves and our likes and dislikes. Books given to some students the rest will receive them next week InshaAllah. We made a collective decision to hand in our phones at the beginning of each lesson to avoid any distractions. No homework given today
Islamic year 7 We revised the 5 pillars of Islam, the 4 main angels and covered the 6 articles of faith. What makes someone a Muslim? Since it’s lesson one and they’ve only been given their book today, I’ve asked the children to learn the duah after azaan (call to prayer).
Islamic year 6 We revised the five pillars of Islam, the six articles of faith, Wudu, Ghusl and Breakdown of Salah. Read pages 18 to 23 of the textbook.
